New National Integrity Framework

Swimming Tasmania has asked that we make all members aware of the new National Integrity Framework (NIF) and associated policies. The NIF is a set of rules that all members of our sport need to follow when it comes to their behaviour and conduct in swimming including obligations to report misconduct. The NIF is important because it allows complaints to be made either to Sport Integrity Australia (an independent government body) or to the Swimming Australia integrity team. The type of complaint will determine where the complaint should go. The polices associated with this framework will be in force from 1 January 2024.

The NIF policies are on the Swimming Australia website and can be found here: https://www.swimming.org.au/resources/swimming-national-integrity-framework

There are also many useful resources including posters and fact sheets available on the Sport Integrity Australia website (https://www.sportintegrity.gov.au/resources).

We ask that all South Esk parents/carers take a minute to familiarise themselves with this new and important framework and associated policies. Please let us know if you have any questions.
